Connection and community are at the heart of Dockside Canada Water
From day one, we've been working closely with the local community to ensure that Dockside benefits everyone.
We have forged strong connections, and this work continues. At Dockside, you can be part of a fantastic community and contribute to it in a meaningful way.

Get involved
Thank you to all those who have taken part in our consultation for proposals for Plot B at Dockside Canada Water, providing invaluable feedback as the design has progressed.
We are pleased to announce that our planning application for Plot B has now been submitted and validated by planning officers at Southwark Council (ref: 24/AP/3718).
The application will be reviewed by the Council as part of the statutory consultation process and then presented at Planning Committee. If you would like to find out more about our proposals or view any of the planning documents, they can be found on the Council’s planning portal here.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has engaged with us since summer 2024 on the proposals for Plot B, as well as on the wider masterplan over the past few years.
We have met with hundreds of members of the local community and stakeholders across our public exhibitions, local meetings and pop-up events. Your insight into the local area and constructive feedback on our proposals has been considered in shaping our developed proposals for Plot B.

From the outset, it has been our ambition to learn all we can about the area, to understand local needs and aspirations, and to build lasting relationships with the community that has warmly welcomed us.
Tapping into local knowledge and networks has helped shape what we are building, and we have looked for opportunities to support everything from health & wellbeing to biodiversity, as well as creating employment opportunities for local people.
We’re linking these buildings into their local context and offering businesses an opportunity to really connect with the community and the place.
Meaningful engagement
The community at Canada Water is one of its best features. We have worked closely with local groups and we continue to do so. This is vitally important.
From the designs for the dock edge to the amenities at street level, to the meanwhile uses that will be popping up while we build - everything is being done with the input, involvement and cooperation of the local community.
Health & Wellbeing Fund
Our Health & Wellbeing Fund was set up in partnership with Decathlon UK in 2022 to support grassroots organisations in Canada Water and Rotherhithe.
Over a five year period, the fund will provide £200,000 to local initiatives and community groups in the local area with the goal of encouraging participation in sport and play for people of all ages.
Find out more about some of the local groups and clubs that have been supported by the Fund since its inception here.
